The European Commission 2024-2029: A New Mandate Begins

Commission officially starting its work on 1 December 2024, it has now begun addressing its ambitious agenda to tackle the challenges facing Europe.
Our President, Stefaan Vercamer, represented the ESU at the 20th anniversary celebration of N.Si’s Seniors Organisation, a member of the EPP family in Slovenia. This event marked Stefaan’s first regional appearance since his election in April, and he delivered a strong message on the future of senior care.
The celebration was attended by prominent figures such as MEP Matej Tonin, who is also President of N.Si, and Janez Cigler Kralj, leader of N.Si’s parliamentary group in Solvenia. The President of the Seniors Organisation, Mag. Zdravko Luketič expressed sharp criticism of the current government, voicing concerns about media manipulation, weak migration policies, and unmet pension promises.
