Theme: Demographic Changes in Europe – Challenges for European Governance
On 19 March 2025, before the official start of the Spring Conference in Bratislava, the Executive Committee of the European Seniors’ Union held its first meeting of 2025.
At this occasion, 3 new vice-presidents were elected, notably Ms. Kalliopi Marangaki from Greece, Ms. Andrea Eder-Gitschthaler from Austria, and Ms. Noëlla Jacobs from Belgium.
Ms. Kalliopi Marangaki worked for several years in the European Parliament as Team-Coordinator, and in the Council of the European Union as Manager of the Interinstitutional Relations Unit, and as Public Relation Officers in the Protocol and External Relations Service. Ms. Marangaki is member of the Neo Democratia political party. (CV Ms. Marangaki)
Ms. Andrea Eder-Gitschthaler is member of the ÖVP, en currently President of the Federal Council in Austria. She keeps several political functions linked tot the seniors: she is Federal Chairwoman of the Salzburg Seniors‘, Pensioners’ and Pensioners’ Association and deputy member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. Ms. Noëlla Jacobs is a member of the Flemish Christian-Democratic Party, CD&V, and works since many years in the Belgian Federal Parliament as Secretary of the Cabinet of the CD&V-group. Ms. Jacobs also currently acts as National Secretary for the CD&V-seniors, and serves in the Executive Committee of the ESU. (CV Ms. Jacobs)
