The ESU Presidency discussed several crucial topics concerning the future of our organisation. One of the key points on the agenda was the appointment of three new Vice-Presidents, who will contribute their extensive experience and commitment to advancing the mission of the European Seniors’ Union.
The proposed candidates were:
Mrs. Kalliopi Marangaki (Greece, Nea Demokratia) – With a career in European institutions, Mrs. Marangaki has held key positions in the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union. Her expertise lies in logistics, interinstitutional relations, and public diplomacy, making her a valuable asset to the ESU​.
Mrs. Andrea Eder-Gitschthaler (Austria, Ă–VP) – Currently serving as the President of the Austrian Federal Council, Mrs. Eder-Gitschthaler has a long-standing career in Austrian politics and senior advocacy. Her leadership roles within the Austrian Senior Citizens’ Federation and the Federal Council reflect her dedication to representing and empowering seniors​
Mrs. NoĂ«lla Jacobs (Belgium, CD&V Seniors) – A committed advocate for seniors’ rights, Mrs. Jacobs has been actively involved with the ESU for over a decade. Her professional background includes strategic roles within CD&V and the Belgian Parliament, with a strong focus on policy development and senior engagement​.
